Tour - Online Students

All of our traditional classroom and online students have access to the "Students Only" section of our website. All of our classes are not only streamed live, in real time, across the net, but are recorded, edited, and uploaded for viewing and re-viewing throughout the entire semester.

Home Page

From the home page, students can access the "Students Only" section by clicking on the "Students" link. Anyone can click on the "Students" link, but course content is only visible to registered students. The "Students Only" section can also be reached at class.tokyomokyo.com

Log In

From the home page of the "Students Only" section, registered students need to log in to access their class(es) and class content. All new students receive a Username and Password prior to the start of the semester. Returning students use the same login credentials as before.

Students Home

Once logged in, all of the the classes the student is registered for will be listed under "My Courses". To access a particular class, its broadcasts, and course content for the class, click on the class title found in either of the "My Courses" sections.

Weekly Outline

Within each class is a weekly breakdown of the information to be covered in class. The very first section on this page is a list of commonly used links such as the one to access the live broadcast, helpful self-study websites, and websites with related downloads (i.e. browser plug-ins).

Weekly Content

Weekly content is made up two sections. The bulleted items are the topics to be covered in class that week (kanji, tests, etc.). The materials section has links to the handouts, online tests/quizzes, and the link to the recorded broadcast (once it's been edited and uploaded).

Live Broadcast

To participate in the live broadcast, students need to click on the "Broadcast - LIVE" link at the top of the class page.

Broadcast Window

Students with webcams and/or microphones need to click on one of the "User" windows to be seen and/or heard (webcam is not required). Students need to click on the "Enter Chat" button to use the chat room.

Broadcast Log In

At the broadcast Log In pop-up window, students can enter any Username and Password to join in the chat room. From there, they can interact with other online students and ask questions about what's happening in class.
