Description

This class continues where "Beginning Japanese I" leaves off by introducing new grammar and vocabulary while building on the lessons in "Beginning Japanese I". In addition to weekly lessons and in-class activities, each class begins with a "Cultural Tidbit" which is used to help increase the student's awareness of Japan and Japanese culture by showing how closely language is tied to culture.

Benchmark

By the end of this class, students will have covered enough Japanese to be able to have simple conversations with others using sentences like, "Since there's a new restaurant in Asakusa, why don't we have dinner there this weekend?"
